Denise Schira – current NYAPE Board Director, Executive Board member of Coalition of Schools Educating Mindfully, and recent NYC DOE retiree serving over 1,000 schools in 30 districts and thousands of staff and students for 30 years as teacher, trainer, school and central administrator, and assistant superintendent – is humbled to continue to serve and impact communities offering virtual and in person professional learning opportunities to promote mental and physical well-being, positive climate, cultural competence, bias awareness, and equity.
