She has been the recipient of numerous awards from St. John's University, The National and New York Doctorate Association, Catholic Teachers Educator of The Year, John Cardinal O'Connor , The Dalai Lama, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Lifetime Achievement Award, Cornaro Medalist, Italian Cultural Center, Danforth Scholar, Columbia Association, and most recently honored by the Italian organization UNICO and St. John's Staten Island 40th Anniversary. Teresa's publications have addressed topics on Urban, Social and Educational Issues, Early Childhood and Elementary Education, Career Education and Parents' Role in Education of Their Children.
